In the midst of a global pandemic lockdown, the Lays Flavor Trip program was created to satisfy travel-hungry snackers with a curation of globally-inspired flavors.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
Four limited-edition Lay's potato chip flavors (only available as a contest giveaway on @Lays social) featured packaging design inspired by countries our consumer dreams of visiting – Germany, Thailand, Mexico, and Greece – each with a unique and vibrant visual identity. Inspired by vintage travel posters the bag designs weave together color palettes, typography, and illustrations of architectural styles and scenery native to each destination. This exclusive collection delivered a transportive, sensory experience that felt (and tasted) like a vacation.
